ABOUT THE MODEL
Key Ideas in Systems Coaching
Relationship as a network of connection
ORSC revolves around this simple yet revolutionary idea: each team or system has its own intelligence, and we can interact with it.
The system is the client
Instead of coaching individuals, we use Relationship Systems Intelligence (RSI™) to work with the network of connection between team members.
ORSC is a neutral skillset that can be used to coach relationship in any context: with teams and organizations, families and partnerships, and even the relationship with self.

An integrated and robust coach training
ORSC co-creators Faith Fuller and Marita Fridjhon drew on their combined experience in psychology, social work, team building, conflict resolution and community crisis intervention to create this remarkable model.

We're entangled in relationship every single day. Systems-inspired coaching provides the skills we need to get along better with ourselves, other people, and the larger community.
Faith Fuller | CRR Global Co-Founder

Relationship matters, and leadership is a team sport.

Grounded in established frameworks
The ORSC coaching model is based on philosophy and science as well as modern systems thinking.
Emotional Intelligence and Social Intelligence
Daniel Goleman’s work on Emotional and Social Intelligence (1998) lists qualities that support successful relationship: the ability to recognize and manage one’s own emotions, and the capacity to read and respond to others’ feelings.
ORSC takes these concepts a step further with the introduction of Relationship Systems Intelligence, which is awareness of the wisdom of the system itself.
Process Work
In focusing on the dynamics and flow within relationships, ORSC incorporates the ideas of Arny and Amy Mindell.
Systems Theory
The model builds on the work of Jay Forrester, Margaret J. Wheatley, Donella Meadows and Dee Hoc, among others, in examining the interconnectedness of systems.
Co-Active Coaching
Having originally launched under the Co-Active umbrella, ORSC builds on certain concepts to deliver a team coaching model.

FAQ
What is ORSC?
Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching, or ORSC, is a robust coach training series which explains how to work with teams and systems of any size. Coaches and leaders interact with the collective intelligence of the whole system, rather than with individuals.
Beyond Emotional Intelligence (relationship with oneself) and Social Intelligence (relationship with other) is the realm of Relationship Systems Intelligence (RSI) where the focus shifts to the relationship within the group, team or system.
Who can benefit from these courses?
Coaches, leaders, mediators, HR and OD teams, project managers, and anyone working in environments where relationships are key to success will benefit from this course. In short, ORSC is for everyone!
How does ORSC work with other coaching and training methodologies?
The analogy that we like to use is that ORSC is an operating system upon which other models and approaches can be reinterpreted. Once our students make the paradigm shift from working with individuals to coaching the entire group (what we call The Third Entity), a whole new world of opportunities emerges. Many students find that what they’ve already learned and used in their work is even more effective when coupled with ORSC principles.
Are these courses ICF accredited?
CRR Global offers ICF-accredited coach training programs at Level 2. Participants earn Continuing Coach Education (CCE) credits as they progress through the curriculum. Students who complete the full five-course ORSC series, from Fundamentals through Systems Integration, receive 84 CCEs. Those who continue into the ORSC Certification program, an ICF Accredited Level 2 Program, earn the ORSCC credential along with an additional 96.5 CCEs.
For more details, see our ICF Credentials page.
What should I expect in a course?
All courses are led by CRR Global faculty members. They are highly qualified and experienced coach practitioners who will share with you real-life examples of the successful application of tools and competencies.
At CRR Global, we practice experiential learning with a focus on active participation and learning by doing. You will have numerous opportunities to coach and facilitate, as well as to receive feedback on your newly acquired relationship systems coaching skills. To deepen the learning, you will also arrange from within your own network an actual relationship system to coach during an evening within the training course.
Can ORSC be used to coach individuals?
Human beings are complex! Within each person lives a multitude of voices. A single person is a system, with relationships to money, to food, to work, to family, to friends, and to self. When we begin to see all of these as part of the system of self, we can integrate and align all that happens within us.
ORSC is a neutral skillset that adapts to coaching individuals, teams, and enterprises as well as global organizations.
How do I become ORSC Certified?
When you enroll in an ORSC course, you begin a rich learning journey. Participants begin with a foundational course and progress through the series in order.
After completing the ORSC series, Certification is your final step. This 35-week mastery-level program deepens your understanding of the full ORSC skillset through applied practice, supervision, and mentoring. Upon completion, you will receive 96.5 additional CCEs, building on the 84 CCEs earned through the core courses — putting you well on your way toward an ICF ACC or PCC credential.
