INSIGHTS INTO
Relationship Systems Intelligence

Recognizing the wisdom
of systems
The concept of Relationship Systems Intelligence (RSI™) is at the heart of systems coaching and leadership. It builds on the work of thought leaders including Thorndike, Salovey and Mayer, and Goleman.
- Our first level of awareness begins with Emotional Intelligence —observing and adjusting our own behaviour.
- The second level is Social Intelligence—an awareness of others, paying attention to the energy we bring and the subtle ways that people respond to each other.
- Relationship Systems Intelligence is the ability to sense and work with the invisible network of connection between us—the relationship itself.
Principles of RSI
The principles which govern relationship systems are like natural laws. They are true for every system.
Relationship systems are naturally intelligent, generative and creative.
Each relationship system has its own unique identity or personality.
Every member of the relationship system is a voice of that system.
Relationship systems rely on roles to organize and carry out functions.
Systems are constantly evolving.
