In a time of rapid change, I encourage individuals and organizations to identify what is universal, to find courage, and to take action.

Professional coach Izumi Shimazaki focuses on creating a safe and secure environment that encourages honest dialogue. She also empathizes with the pain inherent in individuals and teams, restores it, and transforms it into energy. Izumi supports individuals and teams in finding their inner motivation to take courageous steps forward.

She supports large companies, particularly manufacturers, as they navigate the challenge of cultural change and explore the future of business. She also aims to support NPOs and NGOs addressing critical social issues such as poverty and climate change, empowering them to create organizations where members feel pride and hope rather than exhaustion.

Her work integrates system coaching, supervision, system theory, Buddhism, and human sciences to foster internal transformation and cultivate leadership that enables individuals and groups to take outward courageous action.

Along with Izumi’s ORSCC credential, she holds MCC (master coach), CPCC (Co-Active), and LCCP (Leadership Circle) certifications. This training supports her work in helping teams and organizations to address complex issues, work together toward common goals, and develop leadership among members.

She has been shaped by her studies of the systems-inspired leadership of Faith Fuller and Marita Fridjhon, as well as her activities with CRR Global and CRR Global Japan. Additionally, her practice is influenced by Joanna Macy’s “The Work That Reconnects” and the supervision principles of EMCC and ICF. She shares these teachings to foster awareness of systems and to create growth through differences, both individually and collectively.

Izumi believes that creating change means looking at systems through emotional, social, and Relationship Systems Intelligence, while also recognizing ourselves as part of the system.
