In my life, I have often found myself stepping in as a catalyst for needed change. In coaching, I discovered a vocation that not only affirms this impulse but gives it a clear purpose—to serve individuals, couples, and systems in moving toward authenticity and transformation.

Jason Woolley is a systems-inspired coach and counsellor who helps people cultivate embodied awareness for authentic connection and systemic transformation. Using an approach rooted in coaching, counselling and Tai Chi, he guides individuals, couples and teams to use their lived experience and nervous system as resources for growth and change.

His systems work draws on decades of Japanese and Chinese martial arts, traditions that build awareness of self in relation to others and the environment. Narrative approaches have further shaped his practice, particularly in couples and family counselling. Together, these influences form a methodology that integrates somatic awareness and meaning-making to support systemic change.

Jason’s coaching journey began with the Co-Active model, providing a foundation in personal awareness and development. This path led seamlessly into Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC™), where the relational focus resonated with his Tai Chi experience of balance and flow. His practice has also been shaped by BeAbove Leadership’s Applied Neuroscience Coaching Certification, particularly the processes of differentiation, linkage, and integration. He weaves these principles into his systemic and somatic approach, inviting clients to integrate awareness, relationship and resilience.

In addition to his coaching credentials, Jason holds a Master of Counselling from Flinders University and is a Certified Neuro-Transformational Coach (CNTC). He is trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 2) and is a Transactional Analysis Practitioner (NATAA-TAP), enabling him to work fluidly with individuals, couples and teams.

Jason is energized by the self-awareness aspects of leadership development and the process work of revealing the system within corporate teams. He supports expatriate couples navigating major life changes, as well as men exploring authentic strengths and contribution, and women stepping into leadership with resilience and impact.

Jason’s work is guided by attunement, empathy, compassion and heart. When systems become conflicted, he brings a concrete, direct presence while holding issues with lightness and perspective. Integrity is his compass, rooted in conscience and commitment to what feels right. In coaching, he found a vocation that affirms his impulse to catalyze change and gives it clear purpose—to serve individuals, couples and systems in moving toward authenticity and transformation.

Jason considers himself more immigrant than expat. While still connected to his origins, he sees them mostly as a place in his mind. His lived multicultural experience, including within his own family, offers insight into the diverse world we all inhabit.
