Marita Fridjhon is the co-founder of CRR Global and co-creator of Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC™), the first systems coaching methodology accredited by the International Coaching Federation. A veteran coach and respected thought leader, Marita has spent more than three decades developing approaches that strengthen systemic intelligence in individuals, teams and organizations. She serves as a mentor and inspiration to a growing global community of practitioners in relationship systems work.
Throughout her career, Marita has guided people to see relationships, whether personal, professional or global, as living systems capable of healing, learning and transformation. Her deeply integrative approach is drawn from her foundations in clinical social work, family systems therapy and organizational consulting. She brings a mix of rigor and accessibility to her teaching and writing, which combine concepts from psychology, systems theory and human development.
More than 20 years ago, Marita and her partner Faith Fuller introduced the concept of Relationship Systems Intelligence (RSI™) as part of ORSC. This approach holds that leadership exists within the system rather than the individual, and that every relationship system has its own intelligence and personality. Today, ORSC practitioners apply these principles in across the world and in every industry, including corporate, government, nonprofit and community settings, serving Fortune 500 companies, global nongovernmental organizations, educational institutions, technology firms, healthcare systems and national government agencies.
Marita’s commitment to social justice was shaped by her experiences growing up in South Africa. Her lifetime of work supports her belief that lasting change requires listening to all voices and building connection across differences. Working with CRR Global’s international faculty and partners, Marita has supported large-scale change efforts around the world as well as major organizational and social transitions.
Marita is a trained therapist and accredited coach supervisor who holds degrees in social work and medical social work. Her innovations in the field of team and systems coaching are supported by advanced training in psychiatric social work, process work, and alternative dispute resolution. She is a frequent keynote speaker for organizations including the International Coaching Federation and the Organization Development Network, and regularly contributes to leadership conferences, human potential summits and global learning events.
Marita’s current work focuses on Systems Inspired Evolution, an approach centered on meeting, revealing, aligning and attending to the unseen dynamics that shape collective behavior. She is the co-author of the books Systems Inspired Leadership and Creating Intelligent Teams and the co-creator of the Systems Inspired Supervision model together with Sunčica Getter.
Outside of her remarkable career, Marita enjoys local theater, exploring consciousness studies and talking about how love, leadership and systems intersect to create healthier communities and organizations.
